Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Local Delivery Driver with experience operating refrigerated trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bakery products to various local customers within the Miami area. This role involves working closely with a delivery helper to ensure timely deliveries, accurate order fulfillment, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe Operation of Vehicles: Drive company trucks, including refrigerated trailers, to deliver products to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Loading and Unloading: Collaborate with the delivery helper to load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to maintain product quality and prevent damage.
Product Verification: Verify the accuracy of products being delivered against invoices, noting any discrepancies and communicating them to the appropriate personnel.
Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, collecting payments when required, and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and other required documentation in compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues to ensure the vehicle remains in safe operating condition.
Compliance: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies regarding vehicle operation, safety standards, and delivery procedures.
Qualifications:
Licensing: Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience operating commercial vehicles, specifically refrigerated trailers.
